brickbats and concerns apart few people believe in the concept and are ready to put the money where their belief lies. So if you can do something about it do it. Other suggestions are ok may be they can be made in the other thread where there is a discussion about media attention.
Gandhi - giri works everywhere and it has worked in this country too, have you heard about civil disobedience in this country too.. if you did not then you might want to use our fav : google and look it up. - Rosa parks , does that ring a bell? sometimes simple things take you farther than highly publicized event.

Just a thought.
If the worst was to happen how do the USCIS know your wife is now on her own? If you have an H1B visa that has some years to run on it then this would buy time to get I485 approval.
Once the approval comes through what is to stop the USCIS issuing one to you as well as your wife.
If nobody tells the USCIS then the wheels will continue to grind along anyway.
Just a thought.

Answer to question 1: Yes you can, but make sure that at least on paper the job responsibilities remain the same as the job for which your present employer sponsored your GC. The designation can be anything.
Answer to question 2: USCIS is not very clear on the percentage increase/decrease in salary that a person should draw in a new job from the job which sponsored the GC. However, it says, that there should not be a huge disparity between the two. Looking at the figures that you provided, it looks like a huge disparity. I am pretty sure that the "bonus" in your first job was not accounted for in the salary which was mentioned in the LC by your sponsor. Even if they did, the difference seems to be huge. If it is possible, ask the BIG employer to offer you the same amount of 65K as salary and the rest as "bonus".

ok, let me put the matter to rest before you take it out of context. My observation was based on the thread that we had for collecting the amount..I didn't see many EB3 folks contribute dollars....but now that 2 EB3 are vouching that enough EB3 folks contibuted, that's great. I just observed something and if it hurt you right down the spine, sorry. I filed PERM 3 months ago, I'm far off in this process. Just focus on advocay so that everyone gets their GCs. Good luck. I hate this EB2 vs EB3, this is a never ending debate. Just hope everyone gets their GC in time.
Nothing personal. I appreciate everybody's contribution and efforts. I was trying to dispel the notion that PD progress is somehow related to how much we contribute to advocacy efforts. That is just not true.

On a serious note, there have been 4 cases approved today(from other site - 2 cases from India and 2 from ROW). So looks like there are some ROW applications also in queue during this time of the year getting approved. I saw someone from EB2-ROW getting 485 approved (filed 140/485 concurrently) in a record time of just 30 calendar days(Filed on July 26th and approved Aug 25th). Never heard USCIS was so efficient.
Looking at the positive side, since they are still approving ROW cases, it may mean that spillover is still happening and there are visas available.

You have predicted that EB3-India cut of date would become June 2003. But your PD is July 2003. Usually people do not predict that way. They predict their own PD would become current pretty soon.:D
At one end it is bad that USCIS moved back Nebraska Processing date to June 08 2007 (More than one month backword) but it looks like USCIS is preparing itself to kick EB3-India ahead... It is too early to say this confidently.. But my feeling is that USCIS will keep processing dates tied to June 2007 and will kick EB3-India ahead. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Though as per murthy's web site in May bulletin EB3-India dates will remain same, I am feeling that if my guess is correct then at least from June bulletin we will see 2 patterns 1) Nebraka processing date would not move ahead for some months or will

I opened a SR for non receipt of my FP notice, on 30Oct2007. I got a reply from USCIS exactly after 45 days ( very prompt) notifying me that " my FP has not yet expired or my FP is not yet cleared". Certainly this looks like a canned reply from USCIS which was sent even without looking at my file. I guess they should be more transparent in their process than just sending plain lies.
I also got the same message. NO FP after 2 SR & 1 info pass (case transferred from NSC to TSC).

Correct me If I am wrong
out of 45K members let's assume 22.5 K are EB2 and 22.5 K are EB3.
Even If 11.25K (EB2)+11.25K (EB3) = 22.5 K (Total) contributes $25 Each Problems gets solved ... but the catch is ....
Even 11.25 K EB2 members are not contributing because they don't have to as their problem is solved
Even 11.25 K EB3 members are not contributing because they are not sure even with this contribution their problems gets solved.
Many people are saying that EB3 members are not contributing that's why you are lagging etc...
EB3 Members who contributed are feeling the pain because even after contribution they are not getting the results and EB2 members who didn't contributed are getting the results...
I think I am now quite clear about the cause of all our backlogs :D. You said it dude, people who see their issues resolved are less likely to contribute. I guess by the same argument it is safe to assume if EB3 were getting approved faster, they would be contributing even less, as are EB2 right now, right?
