As I have said before, the problem arises when some companies file petitions when there isn't an immediate job offer. They often take money from the H-1B worker to file the petition and not pay them when they are on bench - making them vulnerable to USCIS audits. In my view this is bad for the H-1B program and everybody who is involed, and it should be investigated by the USCIS.
Now, there may not be many who do this - but a few bad apples have certainly given the rest of us a bad name.

don't have the guts to take care of anything person to person. That will only go to show how right the right things you do are. Make sure that 5882 is successful. If it proceeds, I will back down. It is a shame that among 25K members raising 5K becomes a challenge.

I pledged 100 $ today for Aman's expenses because I felt really bad abt that. I donated around 300$ till date including 20$ recurring contribution.
I filed my 485 long time ago. But when people who are really seeing the fruits of IV (July VB reversal) are higly reluctant to donate even a few bucks, while they are spending thousand's of dollars for their 485 stuff, I am kinda confused.
Are people really that selfish not to donate a few bucks(may be 5$per month) to an organization which is making them file 485 and reversed all this fiasco.

It was amazing to see such response to call for funds for Aman and other core members.

It has been hinted that EB3 lobbying undermines recapture efforts . Could proponents of this theory explain how??
Why both cannot happen simultaneously??
I have only seen implications to this effect but nobody has come forward and said it plainly - You EB3 folks don't spoil the EB2 party because you had it good previous years and we are afraid if you make too loud a noise, our party might come crashing down.
Everybody seems to imply it but nobody wants to call it as plainly as I stated it above.
I might have exaggerated the fear factor but I am unable to find any other reason as to they would discourage EB3-I lobby under the pretext of recapture efforts.

Will I need passport size photos at the time of landing (like for applying PR or any other form) and if required how many photos are required.

As per my research this i the list of documents you need:
� Passport

No, we have not tried calling yet. Both are on H1, so just have EAD for just peace of mind. Do let us know what you hear from the customer service.

Q1) I understand that, there is no need to inform USCIS about our changing jobs using AC21, In my case my company provided their own Lawyer. How can I change that lawyer to my personal lawyer (I signed G28 for current lawyer)
Q2) Is it advisable to move forward with out a lawyer, if I decide not to inform USCIS about my job change using AC21 OR is it always advisable to go with lawyer (share your experiences)
Q3) If I want to represent my case on my own after AC21 (Signed G28 with current lawyer), How should I do that, When should I inform USCIS about this (before the AC21 kicks in -how much in advance)
Q4) If the 140 is approved, 180 days from 485 is passed, does employer still have a right/chance to revoke/deny the I140??? (I heard a rumor that it is possible)
Q5) Is that possible, If I call USCIS that they will verify my I 140 information � Because my employer never provided me with approved I 140 copy � I have only receipt number

All officials have talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste.

Dear admins,
I think deleting my post was not fair. The other people who have been bashing us with MS degrees need to also have their posts deleted.
I was not offensive in anyway, I just pointed out the reality of the situation and that is not "being offensive."
If you are afraid of alienating some of your contributors, well then by deleting the posts of ppl with Masters degrees you risk alienating them.
If I offended the admin personally if he/she does not have a masters degree, I apologize for hurting your "feelings" but that does not allow you to delete my post .
Finally, since 99% of the time the admins come back with not relevant to the thread, I agree on that ground but respectfully request the deletion of posts by a bunch of others like the "hiring manager" who instigated this discussion.

Can you also delete posts where there was some bashing of people with advanced degrees, just to make it fair? I think the whole thing was started by the guy (GCsucks) by addressing people who attend U.S universities as "Kids" and I agree with "yabadaba" that this is reality and we were just pointing out what the issues are. If it's a case of sour grapes then may be that guy should vent his frustration else where or easier GET HIMSELF AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN THE U.S

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.
